Before things really start ramping up here again in the next few weeks, I wanted to re-cap some of our favorite Sweet Tables from this past Fall/Winter. We still have a couple more dessert tables before Spring, so keep checking back!
This was an absolutely gorgeous wedding at the Ravenswood Event Center. The muted color scheme and vintage vibe created such a warm and inviting atmosphere.
We had so much fun designing this eclectic and colorful Sweet Table at the one of a kind Room 1520.
From the custom designed crossword puzzle dessert tags to the comic and
crossword backdrop and vintage/classic books, this table was truly a
unique reflection of the bride and groom.
Check out the HD videos for each of these Sweet Tables on our Facebook page!

Our Busy Summer
I would like to introduce you all to our sweet little cupcake (and the reason I have been so bad at blogging lately!), Daylia Olsen.
It's been a busy summer, but we at Sweet Table Chicago have some really amazing events planned for this Fall/Winter, including a black and white pumpkin table, a vintage shabby chic table and a modern Winter Wedding table. Can't wait to share with you soon!
Of course she wouldn't stop moving when she was wearing the cupcake onesie!

Chicago Botanic Garden Wedding Sweet Table
We were honored to be a part of this beautiful wedding held at the Chicago Botanic Garden. It is a stunning venue and everyone there was so wonderful to work with! The bride chose a great team to pull off her vision for her big day.
The Sweet Table played off a vibrant pink, coral and white color palette. This was the first time we ever served grapefruit tarts (they were a perfect color match!), and they were SO yummy! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
And visit our Facebook page to check out a video of this Sweet Table coming together!
Congratulations Alycia and Lawrence!

"Nesting" Baby Shower
We had the absolute pleasure of putting together this baby shower Sweet Table for a wonderful couple a few weeks ago. We are so happy for Aurora and Jeff and their adorable little boy, Michael, who arrived one week ago today!
The shower was an intimate gathering of about 12 guests. The host of the shower wanted a pale robin's egg blue color theme to coordinate with the other design elements in place, so we decided to incorporate the pale robin's egg blue into a"nesting" theme for the table. Everything from the cookies placed in cupcake wrapper nests to the pound cake/lemon custard/toasted coconut parfaits to the table decor were designed to reflect the "nesting" theme.
Congratulations again to Aurora and Jeff!

Sweet Baby Girl Shower-Part 1
The pictures are in from our baby shower at the Anna Shea Chocolate Lounge! We couldn't have asked for a better day and are so grateful to everyone who helped pull it all together.
Here are some pics of the food spread we put together.
Yes, that says Frushi and it's our new obsession! You can try the fruit-disguised-as-sushi for yourself at Orange.
Stay tuned for pics of the sweets display we designed...

The Anna Shea Chocolate Lounge
I had heard a lot about The Anna Shea Chocolate Lounge, a wonderful venue in South Barrington for showers, birthday parties or any event. And this past weekend, I went to check it out in person and was blown away! The atmosphere has a cozy, chic and feminine vibe, and the space is perfect for an intimate gathering of up to forty guests. On top of that, they make amazing high-quality chocolates and other high-end treats (salted caramel hot chocolate-yum!) that are as beautiful as they are tasty! Check out the menu for yourself.
For those of you who don't know, my husband and I are expecting our first child, a baby girl, in early June and we couldn't be more thrilled! We loved the Lounge so much, that we actually booked my own baby shower there on the spot. The shower isn't until April, but with all of the inspiration the Anna Shea Lounge offered, we've already started designing the event!
Here are some pics of the Lounge and their treats. Of course, many more pics to come in April!
